These magnet cleaning features were unheard of in 1981; however, we did not listen to those who thought and claimed that the added costs to offer an effective and reliable product were not worth the premium. Over the next roughly 5 years we disrupted the magnetic separation equipment industry, and these premium features have now become the global standard for magnetic separators. MPI continues to set the standards of leading magnetic separator designs because invention is in our DNA. Combining the voice of the customer with our inventive DNA has enabled us to flourish and prosper while continuously improving the performance and reliability of our products and services. This has resulted in a much higher standard of performance accountability to all the users of magnetic separators when compared to the state-of-the-art preceding 1981. We are very proud to have been the company to bring this change about over the subsequent years.

Over the following years we built an amazing team of loyal employees who brought a wide range of talent to our family business. We also continued to re-invent our products to add features our customers told us they wanted. Another major factor in our success was to develop and promote simple to understand principles of how our products work and most importantly, what the user needed to know to keep their magnets functioning at peak performance. We also developed strong vendor relationships that enabled us to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations on quality and service.

This has resulted in a bookcase filled with examples of an employee centric company that practices family values over profit. A litany of stories that demonstrates our focus on the customer in every product and service we offer. A loyalty from our vendors that only the best business partners enjoy from reciprocal appreciation for one another.

As we enter our 45th year in business, once again we are introducing a magnet industry disrupter to our MPI bookcase; our patented Intel-I-Mag technology. Like we did with self-cleaning permanent magnets in the early 1980’s that today have become an accepted standard throughout the world, the Intel-I-Mag, IoT, Industry 4.0 enabled designs transform the expectations of our customers.

Our AI-enabled features improve the performance of our products beyond capabilities considered commonplace today. Intel-I-Mag also significantly improves end-user profits from the unique benefits this technology brings to our products and services. The ROI using Intel-I-Mag exceeds the ROI our customers experienced starting in 1981 when we made magnet cleaning, automatic and easy. The automation, real-time monitoring and reduced downtime using Intel-I-Mag enabled magnets will take MPI and our valued customers to greater results well into the future.

It has truly been one of the greatest rewards of my life to experience the American dream building our family business. I look forward to seeing what MPI accomplishes over the next generation as my son Kyle has now assumed the leadership role of our company. It is time for our next bookcase of stories to begin.
